The Colorado Gold Rust call for proposals is now open!

On Friday, September 20, we will devote a full day to in-depth Rust workshops delivered by pre-selected speakers. On Saturday, September 21, Colorado Gold Rust will have a single track of talks from members of the broader Rust community. This is where you come in! We'd love to see you speak on a Rust topic that you are passionate about.

We're excited to have you join us September 20-21 in Denver, Colorado!

We'll consider almost any talk, so long as the content is Rust-related. Don't know what to talk about? Here's a short list of ideas to inspire you:

-- Library or framework design
-- Tutorials
-- Community engagement
-- Experiences deploying Rust to production
-- Using Rust in unexpected places

The CFP will be open from Monday April 1, 2019 through Monday, July 15, 2019. We'll be sending feedback in rounds; submitting early will allow the opportunity to polish your submission.

Our CFP system hides author details until a talk has been accepted. To respect this process, please refrain from including biographical information in your talk abstract or details. This means if you receive any feedback, the reviewers don't know who you are. Please don't identify yourself in any exchanges with the review team (including mentioning work for which you may be publicly known), as doing so would compromise the fairness of our selection process.

If your submission is accepted, you'll receive a free pass to attend the conference (we'll refund already-purchased tickets). We will also reimburse travel and lodging expenses, up to $500 per session.

Throughout this process, Colorado Gold Rust is striving to be a welcoming conference for everyone. Please note that our Code of Conduct applies to all conference spaces, including our CFP.

If you (or your employer) might be able to sponsor Colorado Gold Rust (or help defray costs related to your own travel), please get in touch.
